Why Dog on a roof?
As I toured Cuba, away from the major cities, we passed house after house that would have a dog on the roof of their two-story home. I finally asked our guide why. He said most homes do not have fences, so they leave the second-story windows open. The dog can go outside, watch over the entire yard, and escape the heat if needed. This is an easy, efficient, inexpensive way to protect the home and care for the family.
